Exhibition of National Achievements attracting record-high visitors

Running from August 28 to September 15 in Dong Anh Ward, Hanoi, the exhibition covers almost 260,000 square meters with 230 booths.

THE HANOI TIMES — The National Achievements Exhibition at the Vietnam Exposition Center (VEC) in Hanoi has attracted nearly four million visitors in just six days, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

“This is an unprecedented record never seen before in any exhibition in Vietnam,” said the ministry.

From more than 230,000 visitors on the opening day (August 28), the VEC welcomed around 800,000 visitors on August 31 and around 900,000 on the National Day (September 2). Notably, on the peak day of September 1, more than one million people visited and experienced activities at the exhibition.

The event showcases the achievements of 34 provinces and cities, 28 ministries and sectors, as well as leading private and state-owned enterprises over the past 80 years.

The VEC, in collaboration with the organizers, set up 12 indoor and outdoor information desks to welcome domestic and international guests. Nearly 2,000 receptionists and volunteers are on duty around the clock to provide guidance and support, ensuring a smooth visitor experience.

To facilitate movement between outdoor exhibition areas, organizers arranged two free internal electric bus routes. This allows visitors to save time while exploring the full range of displays and activities at the exhibition.

The food court features two outdoor zones with 114 kiosks and four indoor zones, complemented by mobile coffee shops and regional specialty booths under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program. Rest areas are also provided for visitors to take a break during their tours.

There are also 12 information counters, a signage system throughout the venue, free information handbooks (including an online version), and Digimap for on-site positioning and navigation.

The exhibition hosts about 100 experiential activities daily. Highlights include robot demonstrations, culinary showcases, hot-air balloon displays, artistic kite flying, demonstrations of traditional handicrafts, special art performances, seminars and discussions across various fields.

According to the organizer, despite the highest number of attendees ever for an exhibition in Vietnam, all services have been well maintained, ensuring cleanliness, order and safety.
