Laos and Cambodian leaders visit Vietnam's national exhibition 

This national-scale exhibition is the largest of its kind in Vietnam, showcasing numerous artifacts and images reflecting the achievements of 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

THE HANOI TIMES — Laos and Cambodian high-ranking delegations visited Vietnam's exhibition of national achievements themed “80-Year Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” at the Vietnam National Exposition Center in Hanoi, on the occasion of their attendance at the 80th anniversary ceremony of National Day on September 2.

The Lao delegation was led by Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith, while the Cambodian delegation was headed by President of the Cambodian People’s Party and President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh welcomed them and briefed the delegations on Vietnam’s achievements over the past eight decades of national construction and development, encompassing industry and technology, agriculture and rural development, security and defense, foreign affairs, healthcare, investment and trade, education, culture, sports and tourism.

The Lao and Cambodian leaders visited the central area of “95 years under the Party’s guiding flag”, the space of the “80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness”, and the “For a green future” pavilion showcasing green transition initiatives.

The delegations also toured the outdoor exhibition themed “The sword and the shield” that focuses on the heroic traditions and achievements of the Vietnam People’s Army and the People’s Public Security, including modern weapons and technical equipment researched and developed by Vietnam.
