This is an annual award organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee to commend drivers and transport businesses for their efforts in ensuring traffic safety, raising awareness on road safety, traffic law compliance and traffic accidents prevention among the people, especially the drivers.

During the last year, more than 14,000 traffic accidents occurred nationwide, killing 6,700 people and injuring more than 10,000 others, a decrease by more than 3,000 accidents, nearly 1,000 deaths, and more than 2,800 injuries compared to 2019. The National Traffic Safety Committee has chosen the topic of "Improving the effectiveness and efficiency of law enforcement to ensure traffic safety and order" for the traffic safety communication in 2021. For next year, the committee aims at reducing the number of traffic accidents by 5-10%, including traffic – related death and traffic accidents, compared to 2020.
