Guest stations ready to serve audiences at Vietnam’s National Day parade

The city’s initiative titled "Guest Station: A80 Proud of Vietnam" aims to support citizens and visitors attending the commemorative events.

THE HANOI TIMES — Fifteen guest stations have been set up and ready to serve audiences celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2 in Hanoi.

Entitled "Guest Station: A80 Proud of Vietnam", these stations are located throughout central areas and key parade routes in the city where military, police and social units will march by.

Initiated by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the guest stations are friendly, accessible rest stops that provide Hanoi citizens and visitors with essential amenities such as seating, drinks and handheld fans.

Services will also be guaranteed for elderly individuals, children, and people with disabilities so that they can enjoy the grand celebration of National Day with parades and mass gatherings.

Beyond offering basic support, the stations are designed as prominent public assistance points, where individuals can ask for help and information if needed.

They also act as cultural and communicative touchpoints, enhancing the capital's image through various media and outreach efforts.

Through the installation of the stations, government agencies and socially-responsible businesses express their eagerness to contribute to the success of the significant national commemoration.

The name “Guest Station” evokes a modern and welcoming image, and pays tribute to a historic tradition.

In earlier times, these stations welcomed cadres and soldiers, and served the community during important national moments.

The modern revival of the guest stations continues that legacy and reflects Hanoi’s humanitarian values and commitment to public well-being.

The initiative also reaffirms Hanoi's commitment to ensuring a safe, inclusive and memorable celebration of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.

With the latest idea, the capital wants to honor both contemporary public responsibility and the enduring traditions of solidarity and humanity among the Vietnamese people.
