“This is the largest scale ever music program organized by the Ministry of Public Security. The program aims to strengthen cultural and musical exchanges among Vietnamese People’s Police force and those from ASEAN and invited countries, improve understanding of the country and Vietnamese people as well as introduce the Vietnamese Police Force to international friends,” he said.

The music festival will see the participation of seven musical groups with over 400 artists from Vietnam, Japan, China, Brunei, Laos, the Philippines, and Myanmar.

The opening ceremony and parade will take place on July 9. Each troupe, during their march around Hoan Kiem Lake, will perform for five minutes in front of the Ly Thai To monument.

From 5pm on July 10, Vietnam's newly founded mounted police force will march around Hoan Kiem Lake.

At 7.30pm on the same day, 300 officers, soldiers, and students of the People's Police Academy will perform a drum performance on the stage in front of the Ly Thai To monument to kick off a special music program.

The big cultural program held in Hanoi is to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Vietnamese People’s Police Forces (July 20, 1962 - 2022).
