Hanoi awards scholarships to 221 students to encourage their lifelong learning

Hanoi celebrates educational excellence as 221 students receive scholarships, showcasing the city’s commitment to nurturing talent and lifelong learning.

THE HANOI TIMES — The Hanoi Association for Learning Promotion on September 14 honored 221 exemplary students under the theme “Learning never ends,” awarding scholarships worth VND221 million (US$8,370).

The awardees included 118 students with disabilities and 103 with outstanding achievements. According to the association, all targets for building learning models in Hanoi met or exceeded expectations last year.

The rate of “Learning Families” reached 75%, “Learning Clans” 70.8%, “Learning Communities” 82.5%, “Learning Units” 95.7% and “Learning Citizens” 46%. Some 62.5% of citizens across Hanoi were certified with digital skills.

In recent years, the association has mobilized more than VND150 billion (US$5.7 million) to support education, benefiting more than 130,000 exemplary students and families and fostering a culture of lifelong learning in the capital.
