The department honored 30 exemplary educators, 23 teachers who excelled in the 2024 National Vocational Education Teachers' Competition, 10 teachers with remarkable achievements in the 2023 Hanoi Vocational Education Teachers' Competition, and 28 students who excelled in the 2023 Hanoi Skills Competition.

Vocational training centers in Hanoi trained 472,600 learners and cooperated with more than 1,000 enterprises in 2023 and January-October 2024. The proportion of trained workers reached 73% in 2023, with 52% holding professional certificates.

Hanoi ranked first in the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Provincial Competitiveness Index in 2023, proving that the city's workforce can meet the demands of the labor market in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of integration.

At the Hanoi Vocational Education Teachers' Competition and Skills Competition in 2023, 140 teachers and students achieved outstanding results. Among them, 10 teachers and 28 students received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee for their outstanding achievements.

"These results are the result of the tireless efforts of many generations of dedicated teachers who have overcome countless challenges and demonstrated their unwavering commitment," said Nguyen Hong Dan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

"Their contributions have helped the city advance its vocational education and build a sustainable, prosperous and educated urban center," he said at a ceremony on Nov. 19.

The director acknowledged that vocational education is becoming increasingly important in preparing high-quality workers for the era of Industry 4.0, with rapid digitization and deep economic integration.

He called on all relevant parties to work for continuous innovation and comprehensive development of an excellent vocational education sector.

"Every educator must serve as a model of ethics, self-improvement, and creativity, and sharpen your skills to inspire and guide their students to success," he said.

The ceremony was part of the celebration of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024).
