THE HANOI TIMES — The city has outlined key actions to advance science, technology, and innovation, all the while aligning with national directives on digital governance.

Authorities are working to implement the Politburo's Resolution No.57-NQ/TW and Government's Resolution No.71/NQ-CP, which aim to develop a digital, innovation-driven economy.

The Hanoi Department of Science and Technology has been tasked with coordinating efforts across sectors and tracking implementation progress. Agencies must submit regular updates to the municipal government to ensure transparency and accountability.

To enhance data-driven governance, the Office of the Hanoi People’s Committee is building a real-time digital dashboard to support decision-making. This move follows the prime minister’s Decision No.1012/QD-TTg to digitize government operations by 2025 with a vision extending to 2030.

The city is accelerating its efforts to expand online public services. The Public Administrative Service Center is reviewing its compliance with Decision No.1588/QD-TTg to encourage the use of digital public services, with the goal of meeting the national benchmarks established in Decision No.749/QD-TTg.

The Hanoi Department of Finance is expected to allocate at least 3% of the 2025 municipal budget to science, technology, and digital transformation, in line with central government guidance.
