The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued a plan on implementing project on strengthening capacity to manage and implement law on author rights and relevant rights to 2020, with orientation to 2050 in the capital city.

The Department of Culture and Sports acts as the standing agency of Hanoi, and takes responsibility for cooperating with agencies, sectors, People’s Committees of districts, suburban districts and towns as well as relevant units to perform the tasks according to the plan.
Moreover, they give feedback, exploit national database of author right and relevant right property, as well as set of tools to manage, exploit and detect violations on the internet.
Municipal People’s Committees directly subordinate agencies, sections and units to proactively conduct information work, popularization and education of law, raise people’s awareness of author rights and relevant rights, cooperate with the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sport to check and handle violation of author rights and relevant rights in the area.
