Hanoi ensures quality tourism offerings for upcoming national holidays
Tour operators in Hanoi need to check their technical facilities and services, the safety of activities, and improve the quality and professionalism of their services to tourists.
The Hanoi Department of Tourism has requested tourism establishments, enterprises, organizations and workers in the city to ensure the quality of services during the upcoming National Reunification Day [April 30] and May Day [May 1], which will last for five days from April 27 to May 1.

As Hanoi is expected to be flooded with visitors during the five-day holiday, the Department of Tourism is urging tourist attractions, accommodation facilities, restaurants and shopping centers to ensure environmental hygiene and disease prevention.
In addition, tour operators must review their technical facilities and services, the safety of their activities, and improve the quality and professionalism of their services to tourists.
The Department of Tourism has stressed that prices must be publicized and that fraud, profiteering and misleading tourists must be prohibited.
The Department strictly prohibits incentive programs and tourism promotions with poor service quality, acts of profiteering and those that adversely affect the tourism environment.
Tourist attractions must take the initiative to coordinate with tour operators and transport companies to control group size, ensure food safety and hygiene, and avoid food poisoning.
The Department has also made public the hotline number 1800556896 to receive complaints related to tourism activities in the city.
In order to make Hanoi an attractive destination for tourists during the holidays, the city's tourist attractions and accommodation facilities must have amenities and human resources ready to provide visitors with the best service.
During the April 30 - May 1 holiday last year, Hanoi welcomed 700,000 tourists. This year, the number is expected to be around 900,000.
