It is expected that fifteen-night tourism offerings would provide visitors and locals alike with fresh and distinctive travel experiences.
A ceremony was held on November 24 to officially inaugurate Hanoi night tourism offers, launch the “Welcome to Hanoi” photo contest, and announce the recognition of Hoan Kiem Lake and its surroundings and the Old Quarter as a city's level travel destination.

According to Dang Huong Giang, director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, this series of activities comes within the month of the "Creative City Event" to promote the night economy in the capital.
"The night tourism offers would help improve tourists' travel experience, make them stay longer, and thus contribute to the capital's economic growth," she said.
Among the officially announced night tours, some are completely new, including the one at the Vietnam Women's Museum entitled "Legend of Youth- Live a Worthy Life”; “Thang Long - Hanoi Night Cycling Tour”; and the "The Quintessence of Education"
tour at the Temple of Literature.
On this occasion, the Hanoi Tourism Department also launched a photo contest called "Welcome Ha Noi City", targeting young people and international tourists, who are encouraged to post Hanoi night-themed photos on their personal profiles on social platforms using the contest hashtags. This is one of Hanoi's initiatives to spread the beautiful and vibrant image of the capital city worldwide.

At the ceremony, Vu Thu Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee, also handed over a decision to recognize Hoan Kiem Lake, its surrounding areas and the Old Quarter as a city-level tourism area.
According to Hoan Kiem District Chairman Pham Tuan Long, Hoan Kiem District is proud to be associated with the history of the formation and development of Thang Long - Hanoi. The district is home to emblematic tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
"In the coming period, many more creative and public space beautification projects will be implemented to promote the value of Hanoi's heritage elements," he said.
In the past 10 months, total tourist arrivals in Hanoi numbered 20.7 million, up 34.3% year-on-year, with international arrivals reaching 3.6 million, up 3.5 times, and domestic visitors estimated at 17.1 million, up 19.1%. Total revenue from tourists was estimated at VND76.3 trillion (US$3.1 billion), up 66.7% year-on-year.
In 2024, Hanoi aims to attract 25.5 million visitors, including 4.5 million international visitors, generating a revenue of about VND94.41 trillion (US$3.9 billion).
