Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen has approved the plan, aiming to strengthen the city's position in international markets while addressing challenges in the integration process.
The plan prioritizes economic integration by improving the business environment, boosting competitiveness, and supporting enterprises in navigating international trade commitments. Hanoi will also work to diversify export markets and reduce reliance on a few key trading partners. Efforts will be made to modernize agriculture, promote tourism as a leading industry, and ensure sustainable economic growth.
Beyond economics, the plan includes initiatives in politics, security, culture, education, science, and environmental protection. The city will emphasize cultural preservation, human resource development, and sustainable urban policies while reinforcing international cooperation in various sectors.
The Department of Industry and Trade will oversee implementation and report to the People's Committee by December 15. Other city departments are responsible for executing assigned tasks, managing budgets, and submitting progress reports by November 15 to shape the 2026 integration agenda.
