THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi is turning its vision of a world-class biotech innovation hub in the heart of the capital into action.

The project is envisaged as a comprehensive innovation hub that will bring together research, production, education, and start-up incubation in a green, smart, and fully integrated environment. It reflects Hanoi’s long-term ambition to become a regional leader in biotechnology and complies with national policies on high-tech growth.

The park will comprise specialized functional areas for research and development, manufacturing, training, and services. A central ecological zone containing green spaces and bodies of water will enhance liveability and sustainability. Commercial and support services will be located alongside major roads, and essential utilities such as water treatment and waste management facilities will be fully integrated.

Planned in Bac Tu Liem District, the project will be based on multiple strategic frameworks, including the Capital Planning to 2030 with a vision to 2050 and the national high-tech zone roadmap.

Duong Duc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, approved the planning task under Decision No. 2588/QD-UBND, dated May 23, 2025. The planning timeline is capped at nine months.
