Hanoi is looking to deepen ties with Nicaragua.

Ambassador Armengol highlighted Hanoi's urban development as a model for preserving cultural heritage while modernizing, a lesson Nicaragua hopes to learn from. He expressed strong interest in sharing knowledge, fostering business relationships, and engaging in high-level cooperation with Hanoi as a key partner.

The ambassador highlighted opportunities in renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure as Nicaragua seeks to leverage Vietnam's expertise in economic transformation. He also suggested strengthening cultural and people-to-people exchanges, particularly through cinema, tourism, and agricultural trade.

"Nicaragua and Vietnam share a deep history of resilience and struggle for independence and self-determination," said Ambassador Armengol. "We believe that cultural and economic cooperation will bring our nations even closer." He described the reopening of Nicaragua's embassy in Hanoi as a strategic step to strengthen ties not only with Vietnam, but throughout Southeast Asia.

Chairman Tran Sy Thanh welcomed Nicaragua's initiative and reiterated Hanoi's commitment to fostering bilateral exchanges. He highlighted youth engagement, education, and tourism as key areas for future cooperation.

"Hanoi is willing to facilitate political discussions and business ties to deepen relations between the two sides," said Thanh.

Thanh and the Nicaraguan ambassador agreed to maintain regular dialogue and strengthen coordination.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman Thanh presented Ambassador Armengol with a symbolic gift and encouraged him to explore Hanoi's rich cultural and economic landscape, reaffirming the capital's role in strengthening Vietnam-Nicaragua relations.
