Hanoi Party chief congratulates Great Buddha's Day 2020

The Hanoi party chief expressed his wish that the Sangha will continue to join hands with the municipal government to well perform the assigned tasks.

secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue on May 4 visited and congratulated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Central Committee and its Hanoi's branch on the occasion of the Great Buddha's Day 2020, Kinhtedothi.vn reported.

Hue wished all the dignitaries in the Central Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and its Hanoi branch good health, happiness and to keep gaining great achievements in practicing the faith.

The Hanoi party chief expressed his wish that the Sangha will continue to join hands with the municipal government to well perform the assigned tasks, especially the prevention of the Covid-19 disease and restoration of economic development.

Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu on behalf of the Central Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem on behalf of the Sangha's Hanoi branch expressed their gratitude for the Hanoi authority’s affection and interest.

They affirmed that they will always trust and stand side by side with the city government to encourage Buddhist believers to do benevolent and beneficial works.

In the hard pandemic period, the Central Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and its Hanoi branch have actively applied information technology to organize various activities in celebration of the Buddha Birthday and create a joyful and happy atmosphere among monks, nuns and followers.

Buddhist followers in the capital city and the whole country have promoted the spirit of solidarity, contributing to preventing and controlling the Covid-19 pandemic with billions of Vietnamese dong and essential goods for needy people.
