Hoai said she was honored to have been elected by all the local deputies to head the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation, a show of great confidence in her. She emphasized the significance of the Hanoi delegation, noting that the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was a National Assembly deputy and a member of the delegation for 22 years.

“I pledge to continuously learn from the ethical example and style of Ho Chi Minh and follow the shining example of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. I will strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges to fulfill the duties entrusted to me by the Party and the people,” stated Hoai.

She highlighted that the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation is the largest in the country and plays a crucial role in the activities of the National Assembly. The delegation is made up of intellectuals, many of whom hold significant positions in central agencies, ministries, and National Assembly bodies and who have extensive experience and have served several terms in the National Assembly.

“Becoming the head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation is a great honor but also a heavy responsibility. I undertake this role amidst high expectations for Party building and ensuring national defense and security in a city that is the heart of the nation for political, economic, and cultural center,” she said.

Hoai pledged to make every effort to work closely with the leadership of other delegations and National Assembly deputies, uphold principles, lead by example, and perform her duties in accordance with the rules for National Assembly deputies and the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation.

“I will work with the delegation's leadership to fully and comprehensively fulfill the tasks set out in the Constitution and the law, focusing on renewing and enhancing the quality of legislative participation and engaging with voters before and after sessions. We will intensify efforts to monitor the resolution of issues raised in petitions, complaints, and denunciations, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of voters and the public,” she emphasized. She called for the support of National Assembly deputies, agencies, and central ministries to help the delegation fulfill its assigned tasks.

Before being appointed on July 17 as secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Hoai, a member of the Politburo, was Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission.
