Hanoi police will be on duty at various entrances to the capital city in order to control traffic throughout the 13th National Party Congress.
Thousands of Hanoi police officers have been mobilized in a campaign to ensure security and safety for the 13th National Party Congress which is scheduled to take place between January 25 and February 2.

At the campaign launching ceremony, chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh urged public security forces to guarantee absolute security and safety for the 13th National Congress and the delegates.
He requested law enforcement forces to deal with all possible cases of anti-State activities, as well as any public disorder.
For his part, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tung, the deputy head of the Hanoi Police Department, said that plans are underway that is always placed on the highest alert level to ensure security and safety during the Congress.
Public security forces are fully committed to carrying out their tasks, Colonel Tung confirms, adding that specialized vehicles will be deployed to protect the country’s most important political event.

Earlier, The Ministry of Public Security in coordination with other ministries and agencies and the Hanoi People’s Committee held a drill ahead of the big event.
More than 6,000 officers and soldiers of the public security and armed forces, as well as health workers of the capital city, along with representatives from ten adjacent localities joined the drill.
Minister of Public Security General To Lam pledged that the forces of order will raise the highest sense of responsibility and join hands with other forces to drastically, synchronously and effectively roll out plans.
