Hanoi presents gifts to social policy beneficiaries

This is the nation’s tradition of drinking water, remember its source.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai has visited and presented gifts to a number of outstanding policy families in Bac Tu Liem District on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2024).  

Hoai visited and presented gifts to veteran Nguyen Van Lan (in Dong Ngac Ward) and veteran Nguyen Dinh Bich (in Xuan Tao Ward), who participated in the takeover of the capital city 70 years ago.

On behalf of the city’s leaders, the official deeply thanked veterans Nguyen Van Lan and Nguyen Dinh Bich for their contributions and sacrifices for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

She affirmed that the Party Committee, administration, and the people of Hanoi always remember, are grateful, and will keep caring for families with meritorious services. “This is the nation’s tradition of drinking water, remember its source,” Hoai said.

Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai also visited and presented gifts to express gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Tran Thi Hao in Co Nhue 1 Ward.

On the occasion, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh visits and presents gifts to veterans and outstanding policy families in Long Bien District who directly participated in the liberation of the capital city.

The mayor said that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day, the municipal government has proactively and actively taken good care of the spiritual lives and material facilities of those with meritorious services.

"These meaningful and practical activities have shown the city's deep gratitude and appreciation to those with meritorious services, revolutionary families, especially the veteran revolutionaries who directly contributed to the liberation of the capital 70 years ago," Thanh said.  

The mayor sent his best wishes to the revolutionary veterans for good health to promote revolutionary ethics, encourage their children and grandchildren to participate in national building and educate the revolutionary tradition of the younger generation, contributing to the capital city’s socio-economic development.
