Hanoi showcases its tourism at international travel expo in HCMC

From heritage sites and craft villages to festivals and cuisine, Hanoi brings a vibrant showcase to ITE HCMC 2025, aiming to attract global travelers and partners.

THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi brings its unique cultural heritage and modern tourism products to the International Travel Expo in Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2025), taking place from September 4 to 6 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).

As Vietnam’s largest annual tourism trade event, this year’s expo carries the theme “Sustainable Tourism, Lively Experiences” and gathers hundreds of businesses, tourism authorities and partners from around the world.

The event is expected to open new opportunities for cooperation, networking and promoting the Vietnamese tourism brand on the global stage.

Hanoi alive in every moment

The event creates new opportunities for cooperation.

Under the theme “Hanoi – Alive in Every Moment,” the capital’s 72-square-meter pavilion is designed with 3D technology to recreate iconic features of the thousand-year-old city. Highlights include heritage landmarks such as the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Co Loa Relic Site, the Temple of Literature and Duong Lam Ancient Village.

The pavilion also showcases immersive travel experiences, from traditional craft villages and performing arts to culinary culture. Visitors are invited to sample Hanoi specialties such as lotus tea, green rice cakes and peanut candy, while folk performances, cultural screenings and live cooking demonstrations promise to create a vibrant atmosphere.

Hanoi uses the platform to promote its flagship cultural and tourism events of 2025, including the Hanoi Ao Dai Festival, Hanoi Autumn Festival and the Hanoi Craft Village, Street and Culinary Festival.

These events are expected to become cultural highlights, enriching visitor experiences and reinforcing Hanoi’s image as a creative, dynamic city where tradition meets modernity.

By showcasing these large-scale programs, Hanoi aims not only to attract more domestic travelers but also to encourage international tour operators to design new packages centered on the capital, further strengthening its brand in the regional tourism market.

Beyond its pavilion activities, the Hanoi delegation will participate in side events such as the opening and closing ceremonies, conferences and 16 business-matching sessions. Particularly, business-to-business (B2B) meetings between Vietnamese and international companies are seen as key opportunities for Hanoi to expand cooperation, access new markets and keep up with emerging travel trends.

The city will also host exchanges with domestic and foreign partners, including airlines, hotels and travel agencies, to jointly develop attractive tourism products. Strengthening these connections is expected to boost demand while widening growth opportunities for the capital’s tourism industry.

According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, joining ITE HCMC 2025 is a crucial step in promoting the capital as a safe, friendly and innovative destination. The participation demonstrates Hanoi’s determination to enhance competitiveness, celebrate cultural heritage and reinforce its position as one of Vietnam’s leading tourism centers.

As global tourism continues to rebound strongly, Hanoi’s presence at the expo delivers a message of a city rich in identity, open to the world and ready to integrate internationally. It reflects the capital’s long-term ambition to become one of the most attractive destinations in the region.
