According to the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), the silver medals were awarded to Nguyen Ba Tung Lam (Hanoi Star Primary and Secondary School), Nguyen Khanh Ngoc (Phan Chu Trinh Secondary School) and Do Luong Thuy Duong (Thanh Xuan Secondary School).

The bronze medals went to Hoang Bao Minh and Bui Ngoc Bao Linh, both from Thanh Xuan Secondary School.

The achievements prove the quality of natural science education and the international integration ability of Vietnamese students, contributing to spreading the spirit of learning, research and creativity among the young generation.

The 2025 WYPO took place in Bali (Indonesia) between November 6 and 9, drawing students from many countries and territories, including Bangladesh, Bolivia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Romania, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Venezuela and Vietnam.

Founded by the Indonesian STEM OCSO Organization, the WYPO is a prestigious international forum that encourages students to apply physics knowledge through experimentation and problem-solving.

The event differs from the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), which focuses primarily on written and experimental examinations.

The MoET said that the success of the Vietnamese team at this year's edition of WYPO reaffirms the quality of the country’s general education system and reflects the effectiveness of its approach in identifying, selecting and nurturing gifted and high-achieving students.
