Hanoi to host Vietnam-South Korea Food and Culture Festival

The Vietnam-South Korea Festival will feature food, culture, and art exchanges between the two countries, aiming to promote and showcase the two countries' unique cultures and destinations.

The Vietnam-South Korea Food and Culture Festival 2023 will occur on Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street in front of Thong Nhat Park, Hanoi on August 26-27.

There will be many exciting activities: “Cultural Colors of Vietnam-Korea” talent contest, 300 people joining a Flower flashmob by Jisoo (BlackPink), another flashmob to the song See Tinh by singer Hoang Thuy Linh, a Vietnam-South Korea children's fashion show and Vietnamese-Korean culinary demonstration.

Seokguram Grotto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be featured at the festival.

The festival aims to promote and showcase the unique culture and destinations of South Korea, Vietnam and Hanoi. Through the event, the organizers also hope to further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture, economy, education and tourism.

Korean professors and students from Andong National University, Kyungwoon University, Kyungil University, Daegu University, Daegu Hanny University and Yeungnam University from Gyeongsangbuk-do Province (Gyeongbuk for short) and Jeju Tourism University from Jeju Island will participate in the program.

There will also be the participation of 14 typical South Korean companies in food, functional food, cosmetics and content production.

Gyeongbuk, located in the east of Korea, is the largest province in South Korea, boasting an area of 19,029 km2 and a coastline of 335 km, blessed by nature with hundreds of famous sights and specialties.

This place preserves many traditional cultural features of the land of Kimchi (Korea's national dish) with many centuries-old villages, famous landmarks and unique traditional cultural festivals.

Gyeongbuk is an "open-air museum" where visitors can enjoy many UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the National Buddhist Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Bulguksa Temple and Gyeongju Relics.
