The First Prize went to Nguyen Ha Anh, a second-grade student at Le Huu Tuu Primary School in Hanoi, for her work “Ho Guom that I Love.”
Her painting gracefully captured the essence of Hanoi with the Turtle Tower reflected in Hoan Kiem Lake, lush green trees, a mother and child dressed in traditional ao dai crossing The Huc Bridge, and birds soaring freely in the sky.

Among the Second Prize winners was Vorobyova from the Russian Embassy High School, whose artwork “Train in the Center of Hanoi” blended foreign perspective with deep affection for the city.
The contest’s multicultural spirit was shone through the Third Prize entries, with participants like Inaya Dhawesh Mohideen Sameena (India) and Ma Hyein (Korea) capturing Hanoi’s rich palette through works titled “The Colors of Hanoi” and “My Dear Hanoi.”
Speaking at the event, Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports said that the competition was organized to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), as well as the 26th anniversary of Hanoi’s recognition as a ‘City for Peace’ by UNESCO.
“It is more than an artistic contest, but a celebration of love for Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam - and a call for global peace through the innocent voices of children.”
This year’s contest attracted an overwhelming 38,000 submissions from more than 345 organizations, schools, and art clubs across 126 communes and wards in Hanoi.
In addition, more than 200 international entries came from children representing countries such as the UK, India, and Russia, with participation from embassies, international schools, and foreign cultural organizations.
