ICRMAT 2022: Promoting innovative and breakthrough technology solutions for businesses
ICRMAT has attracted hundreds of projects and research in the field of technology and management from experts all over the world.
The third International Conference on Research in Management & Technovation hosted by Swinburne Vietnam Alliance Program took place on December 16 in Vietnam’s central city of Da Nang.
The conference attracts interest from both domestic and international scientists and experts
ICRMAT is an annual conference happened since 2019. Over two years, ICRMAT has attracted hundreds of projects and research in the field of technology and management from experts all over the world.
The conference focused on discussing research, projects, and ideas in the fields of management and technology in the "new normal" as well as in the context of the digital age. Typically, there are topics related to business digital transformation, customer experience, customer understanding, finance, logistics, marketing, creative communication, etc.

At the opening of the conference, Dr. Hoang Viet Ha - Director of Swinburne Vietnam and Co-Chair of ICRMAT 2022, said: “We are living in a world with a very fast digital transformation speed, changing every business model and even in every field of our life. The theme "Management & Technology" of this conference clearly shows the goal of the conference: How people and technology can work together to make a better world”.
At the plenary session of ICRMAT 2022, there were presentations from leading experts in the field of management and technology, not only from the scientific side but also from the business side.
The representatives of the business side are Mr. John Spence - America's top 50 leaders to watch, Ms. Dang Thuy Ha - Director of NielsenIQ Vietnam, and Ms. Ana Le My Nga - President of WeAngles Venture Vietnam. They have brought practical and remarkable perspectives related to the future of leadership, customer understanding in the digital age, driving business innovation.

A forum to discuss research, projects, and ideas in the field of management and technology
Sharing on the topic "Customers in the digital age", Ms. Dang Thuy Ha - Director of NielsenIQ Vietnam stated: "Consumer behavior has changed dramatically after the Covid-19 pandemic. We can see one of the significant trends is online shopping together with cashless payment”.
Besides, in John Spence’s presentation on the future of leadership and management, he explained the key factors of a successful leader: “To be successful in the future, you need to pay attention to IQ (intelligence quotient), EQ (emotional quotient), and also AQ (adversity quotient) - the indicator of adaptation".
Along with that is the presence of influential experts from many universities and research institutes around the world: Prof. Timothy Marjoribanks - Associate Dean of Research Department - Swinburne University of Technology Australia, Dr. Jose Antonio C. Santos - University of Algarve - Portugal, Dr. Chamila Perera - Swinburne University of Technology Australia, Dr. Shivani Agarwal - KIET Group of Institutions – India.

In particular, ICRMAT 2022 has attracted the interest and contributions of scientists from more than 13 countries. More than 50 researches were selected for presentation in parallel sessions. These topics and studies have been published in the conference book. The outstanding works will have the opportunity to be approved for publication by international journals in the list of ESCI journals, Scopus.
At the conference, the authors exchanged and discussed research results on many topics relevant to management and technology, with the desire to promote breakthrough innovations and effective applications for enterprises. There are typical topics in the field of management in the digital age: Communication & marketing management, accounting, and financial management, management innovation in the field of higher education, customer understanding, etc.
Analyzing the topic “Managing technological innovation: Insights from the media industry”, Prof. Timothy Marjoribanks commented: "Digital transformation is generating many difficulties and challenges, but at the same time, there are also many opportunities for businesses, especially in media and marketing industries”.

Researchers also focus on exploiting and discussing changes in business operation and management, analyzing customer behavior in the new normal, thereby offering adaptive solutions for businesses.
