Kick off competition “Raising Awareness on Green City Solutions in Vietnam"

The Embassy of Denmark and the Denmark-Vietnam Alumni Network are calling for best Green City Solutions ideas under the competition “Raising Awareness on Green City Solutions in Vietnam”.

The competition focuses on supporting UN’s Sustainable Development Goal # 11: To make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. The competition also links to the “Sustainable City Solutions” campaign, which includes a series of events lead by the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam to be held in December 2017.
Local NGOs, student organizations, and social enterprises in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are invited to send their best idea on how to ensure a greener and cleaner city in the locality. Ideas of all scales, both small and big, are welcomed. 
In each city, the best idea will be rewarded 3,500 USD and the second best 1,500 USD for the implementation of the idea. 
The selected organizations will be invited to come and present their solution during an event in Hanoi (Dec 12 at National Civil Engineering University (NUCE) and in Ho Chi Minh City (Dec 14 at Ho Chi Minh City Architecture University (UAH)).
A jury will select the winners based on the ability to create and present a green and implementable solution. Nominated organizations will have some basic costs covered for their presentation.
Implementation of the winning ideas will continue for approximately 6 months after the finale. 
Criteria for participation and how to apply: 
-           Participants must be able to participate in the finale event in either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City  
-           Winners should be able to show documents to prove the financial support is used in accordance with the project’s terms
The proposal should be maximum 01 page and focus on: Project idea; Environmental and social impact; Implementation of solution
