The Agricultural Trade Promotion Centre under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a ceremony in Hanoi on December 22 to launch the first e-market for Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry, and fishery products (AGROMART) at the site www.agromart.com.vn.
Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Centre Dao Van Ho said AGROMART serves as a bridge for domestic and foreign businesses to exchange technologies and services in the agricultural field while marketing their products to customers.
The e-market helps consumers select safer and certified products with clear origin.
The e-market is the channel for companies to introduce and advertise the image and products, improving the competitive efficiency, reducing costs and saving time.
AGROMART is linked with well-known e-markets inside and outside the country in order to help enterprises quickly access this potential business method and thus increase their competitiveness in the integration context.
Through AGROMART, managers can build development strategies and make market forecasts and enterprises can get consumers’ tastes and market information.
More than 3,000 produces from 1,000 participating members are expected to participate in AGROMART.
