Made-in-Vietnam Goods Loved by Consumers Fair opens in Hanoi

The fair will run from July 31 to August 4 at the ParkCity Hanoi Urban Area in Duong Noi Ward.

THE HANOI TIMES — The 2025 “Made-in-Vietnam Goods Loved by Consumers” Fair features 100 booths from nationwide businesses, showcasing One Commune One Product (OCOP) items, safe farm produce, and regional specialties, offering high-quality local goods at fair prices.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, said that the fair helps promote brands, connect firms and customers, and boost domestic product consumption.

“It is also a chance for Hanoi citizens to access high-quality Vietnamese goods at reasonable prices, raising awareness and responsibility for using locally made products,” he said.

Participating in the fair, Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Director of Van Long International Import-Export Investment Co., Ltd. in the northern province of Tuyen Quang, said the event enabled the company to promote its Shan Tuyet tea brand.

He hoped that Hanoi would continue organizing more agricultural and fruit product weeks to help bring provincial goods to the capital's market and open direct distribution channels.

Meanwhile, Minh Thuy, Director of Luc Ngan Xanh Cooperative in the northern province of Bac Ninh, noted that the cooperative introduced its signature dried fruit products, such as lychee, orange, longan, banana, and pomelo peel, to Hanoi consumers.

“We sell directly at the booth and provide home delivery for online orders,” she told The Hanoi Times.

Fostering a transparent, consumer-driven market

The fair is one of the first collaborative events between the municipal Department of Industry and Trade and local authorities under Hanoi’s new two-tier government model operated since July 1.

The event is part of the city's action plan to support Hanoi’s over 8% GRDP growth target this year.

In the first half of 2025, the city recorded a GRDP growth rate of 7.6%, with total retail and service revenue reaching VND455.1 trillion ($17.3 million), up 12.1% year-on-year.

The fair is expected to provide fresh momentum for domestic consumption, increase business revenues, and contribute to the city’s annual economic targets. It also supports the campaign “Vietnamese People Prioritize Vietnamese Goods” by promoting consumer-selected and favored products.

To ensure success, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade has requested that all participating units supply high-quality products with clear origin and reasonable pricing, while also offering attractive promotions to encourage public engagement.
