“Make in Vietnam” Digital Product Awards have created spillover effects, promoting the development of Vietnam’s IT industry.

“Make in Vietnam” Digital Product Awards will return for the third consecutive year, aiming to honor excellent digital technology products with great practical value recognized in the development of e-government, digital economy and society in the country.

The “Make in Vietnam” Digital Product Awards 2022 was launched on June 22 by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

It is an official award of the ICT industry annually held by the MIC to recognize enterprises with digital products designed, developed and produced in Vietnam that provide solutions to pressing issues currently facing the country.

Delivering the opening speech, MIC’s Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long said MIC will help winning products gain access to a broader market, adding that this activity also contributes to supporting and promoting “Make in Vietnam” digital products to a large number of people and businesses.

“Eligible nominees are Vietnamese or foreign-invested enterprises whose at least 51% of stake is owned by Vietnamese investors. They will be awarded in four categories, including: Excellent digital products for digital government; Excellent digital products for the digital economy; Excellent digital products for digital society; Potential digital products,” Long said.

He added that the “Make in Vietnam” Digital Products Awards have created spillover effects, promoting the development of Vietnam’s IT industry.

"Many award-winning products have made important contributions to the digital transformation of government agencies, businesses and people. Therefore, many products have been widely applied. There are products that have contributed to changing lives in many remote villages, difficulties that we previously thought would take a long time to solve," Long stated.

The winning products will also be considered for inclusion on the list of IT products and services prioritized for investing, hiring and purchasing by state agencies and the list of potential projects calling for investment.

There will be gold, silver and bronze awards and the Top 10 products will be named at the “Make in Vietnam” Digital Products Awards 2022 ceremony which will be held in December.

Applications can be submitted online at the portal https://makeinvietnam.mic.gov.vn/ no later than September 22.

The first edition of “Make in Vietnam” Digital Products Awards was launched in 2020. After being organized twice, the award has attracted the attention of people and the business community.
