Mass media contributes to strengthening Hanoi - Chiang Mai cooperation

Over the past four years, the two local press associations have rolled out many cooperative activities.

Media outlets contribute to promoting socio-economic development and cooperation between Hanoi and Chiang Mai, thereby enhancing the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Thailand.

Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association To Quang Phan made the statement at a meeting with his counterpart from Chiang Mai Journalists Association Amnat Jongyotying, who is leading a delegation to visit Hanoi, on January 7.
Phan said that over the past four years, the two local associations have rolled out many cooperative activities, especially in jointly promoting trade and tourism of Hanoi and Chiang Mai.
He expressed his desire that the Hanoi Journalists Association and the local press agencies will learn a lot of experience from the Chiang Mai Journalists Association during the delegation’s working visit.
Phan also hoped that in the future, the two sides would have more practical and effective cooperation activities to realize the contents of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) more than four years ago.
For his part, Chairman of Chiang Mai Journalists Association Amnat Jongyotying said that based on the MoU, the two sides have rolled out many practical and meaningful activities.
This meeting will help improve the bilateral understanding so as for them to participate in more cooperation activities, Amnat Jongyotying added.
He expressed his hope that the visit would be helpful for him to increase the operational efficiency of the Chiang Mai Journalists Association.
