Pham Nhat Vuong remains the richest Vietnamese, who has been on the list for eight consecutive years.
Six Vietnamese people have appeared on Forbes’ 35th Annual World’s Billionaires List (2021), compared to four in the previous report.

Vietnam’s representatives include Pham Nhat Vuong, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Tran Dinh Long, Ho Hung Anh, Tran Ba Duong, and Nguyen Dang Quang whose fields of business vary among manufacturing, real estate, airlines, automotive, steel, and consumer products.
The Vietnamese billionaires are aged between 50 and 61.
Pham Nhat Vuong of Vingroup, is listed the 270th out of 2,674 billionaire around the world. He is on the list for the eight years running.
Vuong, 52, remains the richest among Vietnamese billionaires with total net worth of US$8.7 billion, up US$233 million a year earlier.
Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, 50, CEO of budget carrier VietJet Air and Vice Chairwoman of HDBank, has an asset value of US$2.7 billion. She has been listed billionaire for five times, ranking the 1,148th worldwide.
Tran Dinh Long of Hoa Phat Group made his second time on the list after the first in 2018. His net worth stands at US$2.4 billion.
Techcombank’s Chairman Ho Hung Anh, 50, has appeared on the list for third time with US$1.7 billion this year.
Meanwhile, Tran Ba Duong, chairman and founder of Truong Hai Auto Corporation (Thaco) records his assets values worth US$1.6 billion. He has been on the list since 2018.
Nguyen Dang Quang of Masan Group returns to the list after last year absence. His net worth is US$1.2 billion.
Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos remains the world’s richest person for the fourth consecutive year, worth US$177 billion, up US$64 billion on-year as a result of surging Amazon shares.
Forbes’ methodology is the wealth-tracking platform that provides ongoing updates on the net worth and ranking of each individual confirmed to be a billionaire.
