THE HANOI TIMES — Vietnam on June 12 officially launched the 11th National Award for External Relation Information, a flagship event that honors impactful communication efforts helping to further the country’s global projection.

Now in its second decade, the Awards have grown into a prestigious platform that recognizes individuals and institutions that introduce Vietnam’s history, culture, people, and development journey to the world through their work.

With a focus on creativity and outreach, the initiative also highlights Vietnam’s contributions to global knowledge and cultural exchange.

At the launch, presided over by Politburo member and Head of the Commission for Publicity, Education and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Head Pham Tat Thang emphasized the Awards' inclusive spirit: "There are no limits to creativity in external communication. We welcome submissions from all corners of Vietnam and the world, in every language and form, as long as they express a genuine love for Vietnam, whether it be the past, present, or future."

This year's edition aligns with Conclusion No. 57-KL/TW (June 15, 2023), which focuses on strengthening external communication, and Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW (January 24, 2025), regarding international integration in the new situation, one of four key resolutions guiding Vietnam’s strategy for a new era of development marked by independence, prosperity, and a socialist orientation.

The organizers aim to make the awards more accessible and influential in 2025. Vietnam Television, serving as the standing unit, has committed to amplifying promotional efforts across all platforms. "We'll produce compelling trailers and broadcast them widely through traditional and digital channels," said Do Duc Hoang, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television.
