Themed “Quang Nam – A green destination”, the National Tourism Year 2022 will feature 192 events, including 10 national-level ones, 62 organized by Quang Nam, and 120 others by 40 cities and provinces of the first level of administrative division in response to the tourism year.

The cultural and tourism events organized by Quang Nam Province will feature themes such as “Quang Nam in Spring”, “Quang Nam Tourism - Summer emotions”, “Quang Nam Tourism - Heritage Colors”, among others

Chairman of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh said that green tourism is the orientation of Vietnam’s tourism development until 2030.

“This is the reason why this national tourism year is named “Quang Nam- A Green Destination”. It is also the theme of all tourism activities to be organized throughout Vietnam in the coming time,” he said.

According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet, Quang Nam is a locality with a long history and cultural traditions. It is also endowed by nature with many interesting, unique and attractive landscapes such as the two world’s heritage sites of Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary as well as other tourist attractions including Cham Island, Tra Que Vegetable Village, Thanh Ha Pottery Village, Bay Mau Coconut Forest, among others.

“With such great tourism potential, the National Tourism Year 2022 under the theme “Quang Nam - A green tourism destination" will help the locality introduce its traditional culture and tourism potential to international friends,” Viet said.
