New administration units covered in iHanoi app

The updated digital map on the city's administrative communes and wards facilitate convenient public access and administrative services.

THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi has introduced a digital map displaying all 126 new communes and wards integrated into iHanoi, a digital platform designed to improve connectivity between the Hanoi authorities and its citizens.

The map allows citizens to easily access details about the communes and wards, including their locations, addresses, population data, local leaders, and contact numbers.

The digital map aims to provide residents with convenient access to information and enhance transparency while aiding government operations.

On July 1, 2025, Hanoi underwent a historic change when the district-level government was abolished and all 526 wards and communes were reorganized into 126, including 51 wards and 75 communes.

This change followed the Party Central Committee’s decision to implement the two-tier local government model nationwide.

On June 30, Hanoi’s Public Administrative Service Center announced new service branches for administrative procedures across the 126 new communes and wards.

Lists of local branches and hotline numbers have been made available to ensure uninterrupted services during the transition.
