New Tieng Phap+ platform connects French learners with education and job opportunities
With approximately 40,000 Vietnamese students learning French, a platform such as Tieng Phap+ will become a valuable resource, expanding opportunities across the French-speaking community.
THE HANOI TIMES — A French learning and job-linking platform called Tieng Phap+ has debuted to provide information on learning French and career opportunities in Vietnam, where French remains a familiar language.
There are now about 40,000 Vietnamese students studying French, said Eric Soulier, Cultural Education and Science Counsellor at the French Embassy in Vietnam, on November 20.

A platform such as Tieng Phap+ is a valuable tool that opens access to opportunities in the French-speaking community, including tourism, scientific research, healthcare, law and other sectors, he said at the launch ceremony.
As one of the tools aimed at developing the Francophone community in Vietnam, the platform forms part of a broader project with a total budget of one million euros (US$1.1 million) to strengthen international cooperation in education, Soulier added.
Launched on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, the platform is the result of bilateral educational cooperation between France and Vietnam, reflecting the strong relationship between the two countries, according to the French Embassy representative.
The website was jointly developed by the French Embassy and the French Institute in Vietnam in cooperation with Hanoi University and 5S Media.
A hub connecting Francophone education and employment
The platform is structured around three main sections, said Pauline Vidal, Education and Digital Officer at the French Embassy.
The first section, the current affairs and activities space, provides updates on businesses and educational institutions within the Francophone ecosystem. It also features success stories from French learners.
“This space will also host a TikTok competition conducted in French, rewarding the most influential content creators,” Vidal said, describing it as a comprehensive source of information about Francophone life in Vietnam.
The second section is the learning orientation space, which includes an interactive map that connects users to information sources, French-language libraries, scholarship opportunities, overseas study programs, short-term courses and internship and volunteer recruitment.
The third section is the employment space, built around a CV library.
“When creating an account, users can complete a profile similar to a résumé, enabling them to connect easily with companies and recruiters seeking suitable candidates,” Vidal explained.
Although the platform officially launched yesterday, it has been in trial mode since September and has already attracted around 400 regular users. Several French businesses and partners have registered as members.
“This demonstrates that the platform meets real needs in Vietnam,” Vidal said.
