Open Science and Technology Forum in operation on iHanoi

One of the distinguishing features of the forum is the two-way interaction mechanism between people and managing agencies.

THE HANOI TIMES — The "Open Science and Technology Forum" was officially launched on the iHanoi app on the occasion of World Innovation Day (April 21) to welcome ideas from the public in the related fields.

Built by Hanoi's agencies in partnership with Viettel Group, the forum is designed as an open space where individuals and organizations can proactively propose ideas related to science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

One of the key features of the forum is the two-way interaction mechanism between people and management agencies. Specifically, participants can post initiatives with descriptions, preliminary theoretical basis, or practical application. After preliminary evaluation by specialized agencies, they are approved and officially posted on the forum.

The community can monitor, interact, show interest through "likes", "comments", and contribute ideas, evidence, or share related experiences. This exchange process helps to improve the initial initiative and to access incubators, to connect, and to put into practice.

People can participate in the "Open Science and Technology Forum" integrated into the iHanoi application, which is currently available on CH Play (Android) and App Store (iOS).

On June 28, 2024, iHaNoi was unveiled to allow citizens and businesses to interact with government agencies online, contributing to the perfection of digital platforms, helping to provide digital services to a wider range of citizens and businesses, and making administrative procedures even more convenient.

Through iHanoi, users can provide feedback and thoughts on a wide range of issues, which will help the government better understand and respond to people's concerns.

Businesses and organizations can use the app to submit recommendations and concerns about issues or obstacles they face when doing business in the city, and receive timely responses and solutions from city officials.

Viettel Group and related units will update the app, such as public opinion polling, voter recommendation, parking space search and reservation, bus route inquiry, access to electronic contact directories and registration services, utility bill payment, and mobile phone top-up, as well as improve the news category and other features for Hanoi.

As part of Hanoi's broader digital transformation strategy, the iHanoi app demonstrates the city's commitment to building a digital government, economy, society, and citizenry. In this regard, Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, has called on citizens to continue working with the city government to build a digital government, digital economy, digital society, and digital citizens. This is in line with the city's vision to develop a green, smart, modern, inclusive, and sustainable Hanoi.
