Opera House, Turtle Tower, Sword Lake transform into light show stage

The program is a combination of contemporary visual arts with light projection technology, 3D mapping, music and interactive performances.

THE HANOI TIMES — Following the activities celebrating National Day, the program Radiant Hanoi will take place from 8p.m to 10p.m on August 29 and August 30 at the site of Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake, with a 3D Mapping light show on Turtle Tower combined with a unique water curtain system.

Through the language of light and visual arts, the heroic historical imprints and typical stories of Hanoi will be vividly recreated, bringing the public a new and emotional experience.

The space of Hoan Kiem Lake and Turtle Tower becomes a witness to tell the history of Thang Long-Hanoi, both honoring traditional values and evoking the quintessence, romance and character of Hanoi, so that every viewer can feel the pride and love for the land of a thousand years of civilization.

The program on August 29 has the theme Thang Long Convergence bringing the audience back to the legend of the founding of the capital, from the milestone of moving the capital to the successful August Revolution, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

The evening of August 30 with the theme Sounds of Hanoi will lead viewers into the depth of emotions, where everyday memories turn into the gentle melody of the Capital, reflected through the sparkling light between the water curtain of Hoan Kiem Lake.

Radiant Hanoi program promises to be an artistic, eye-catching and emotional program, recreating the glorious milestones of the country, arousing in the hearts of the public pride, solidarity, and aspiration to rise up, adding a memorable mark to the series of activities to celebrate the country’s great anniversary.

On August 15, the similar light art performance took place at the Hanoi Opera House in the program Hanoi-From the Historic Autumn of 1945.
