Promoting Vietnam - Czech cooperation in various fields

On the afternoon of November 17, at the headquarters of the Government, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has met the President of Senate of the Czech Republic Milan Stech, who has been paying an official visit to Vietnam.

At the talk, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his pleasure about the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, that are developing well in many areas, including relations between their parliaments. He affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the Czech Republic, the two sides will continue efforts to develop bilateral relations in all fields, bringing practical benefits to both countries.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung wants Czech to continue supporting and creating favorable conditions for Vietnam community in the Czech Republic to have a stable life, a positive contribution to the development of Czech as well as contribute to the promotion of the friendly cooperation between the two countries in all fields.

Senate President Milan Stech said that Vietnam and Czech have political relations, good diplomacy and good relations between the two countries. Mr. Milan Stech said in Czech has a large community of 
Vietnamese people living and studying, contributing positively to the development of friendly relations between the two countries, better integrating into the host society, success in work and life. "Czech tongue the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic as part of the nation,"  President Milan Stech Senate said.

Mr. Milan Stech confirmed that Czech always appreciate to promote and develop cooperative relations with Vietnam in all fields, particularly in economic cooperation, trade and investment. Besides, the Czech Republic also wants to cooperate with Vietnam in other fields. He also wants the two sides to build and sign a number of agreements that aim at creating the legal framework for bilateral cooperation. Mr. Milan Stech also confirmed that Czech 
will support and push for the European Parliament soon ratifying the PCA and soon signing the Free Trade Agreement between the EU and Vietnam.

* Also in the afternoon of November 17, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Neven Mimica, Commissioner in charge of International Development of the European Commission (EC), who has working visit in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said that the relations between Vietnam and the EU is developing very well as potential for cooperation between the two sides is very large, especially when the two sides will officially sign and implement the Free Trade 
Agreement; affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the EU to continue cooperating effectively on the fields, on the basis of mutual benefit and mutual development.

At the meeting, Mr. Neven Mimica said that the EU supports the growth strategy and the sustainable development of Vietnam and will continue providing ODA for Vietnam next stage in the field of public administration, the judiciary, health poverty reduction, clean energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adaptation to climate change.
