At the opening of the Congress, outgoing President Huynh Minh Anh gave a detailed report on the activities and achievements of the association, including events, internal and external undertakings and public relations.

Founded on June 18, 2021, the AVSQ has experienced impressive growth and has played a critical role in providing career guidance, student support and fostering community connections among Vietnamese students in Brisbane and across Queensland.

In 2024, the association has hosted major events promoting Vietnamese culture, attracting hundreds of international students and Vietnamese residents, while also expanding its outreach through various media platforms.

The Congress approved a report outlining the goals, tasks and solutions for the 2024-2025 term, with six key objectives and ten priority programs for the new term.

New leadership positions in the AVSQ Executive Committee were elected, with Duong Huong Tra as President for 2024-2025.

Speaking at the event, Huynh Tan Dat, President of Vietnamese Students in Australia, expressed his hope that the new Executive Committee will continue to progress, successfully fulfill its mission and achieve all set goals.
