Series of activities for the youth in celebration of the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi

From October 8-13, the Hanoi Youth Union will organize a series of activities to celebrate 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi and welcome the 17th Hanoi Party Congress.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Youth Union, these activities are held at Dong Nghia Thuc Square, the pedestrian street around Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Children's Palace, Hanoi Youth Palace and the Gymnasium of Tay Ho district.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Youth Union released the union's activities related to 1010th anniversary of Thang Long- Hanoi.

"During these activities, the Hanoi Youth Union will coordinate with other related units to ensure good implementation of Covid-19 pandemic prevention," Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien said.

The series of activities celebrating 1010 years of Thang Long - Hanoi was kicked off with the "High-level conference on overseas Vietnamese network connectivity- build up a national innovative startup ecosystem", held at the Hanoi Children’s Palace on the morning of October 9, 2020.

The conference is aiming at building a network among overseas Vietnamese towards establishing a national innovative startup ecosystem connectivity; contributing to the capital's digital economy and the knowledge economy; at the same time, promoting the application of artificial intelligence among SMEs.

In addition, the international final round of the contest "Global entrepreneurship - VietChallenge 2020" will be held on October 10, 2020 - Boston (USA) time or October 11, 2020 - Hanoi (Vietnam) time.

On the morning of October 10, at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square (Dinh Tien Hoang street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi), the Hanoi Youth Union will hold a series of events, including the opening ceremony of "Capital’s youth sport games”; the launching ceremony of "The 5th stage of ‘I love Hanoi’ movement" to celebrate 64th anniversary of Vietnam Youth Union; the launching ceremony of the online contest "Capital children with energy industry";  doing the puzzle  of "1010 years Thang Long - Hanoi" and organizing Vietnamese folk games for visitors to the pedestrian space.

Also, on the morning of October 10 at Dinh Tien Hoang street, Hanoi Youth Union will hold another attractive activity named “International Folk Dance Festival”, with the participation of young dancers.  Another dancing festival entitled “The Colorful folk dance festival” will also be organized later, at 7pm on the same day at Hanoi Children's Palace for children.

On this occasion, the Hanoi Youth Union also organized the consumption days under the motto of “Vietnamese buy Vietnamese products” (from October 9-10) and "Golden hand contest” for young craftsmen from Vietnamese traditional craft villages (in the morning of October 10) at Hanoi Children's Palace.

In the evening of October 13, an art performance will also be organized Quan Ngua Sport Complex to celebrate the 17th anniversary of Hanoi City Party Congress.
