Top 20 honored for Vietnam Female Students in Sci-Tech Award 2025

The award highlights wisdom, ambition and confidence of a new generation of female intellectuals.

THE HANOI TIMES — The 2025 Vietnam Female Students in Sci-Tech Award has just found 20 outstanding young girls, according to the Ministry of Science and Technology.

They are all excellent students, many of whom are active Youth Union members and volunteers, recognized for their academic achievements and contributions to their surrounding communities.

The 20 awardees include three students in information technology; two in computer science; two in mechanical engineering and technology; six in electrical, electronic, and telecommunications engineering; five in chemical, material, metallurgical, and environmental technology; one in applied biology; and one in architectural and construction engineering technology.

Established in 1997, the Vietnam Female Students in Science and Technology Award aims to recognize and encourage young women’s sci-tech achievements, contributing to the training of a high-quality female workforce in these fields.

In 2025, the award will continue to be launched across 152 universities and academies nationwide with training programs in eligible science and technology disciplines.

The Organizing Committee said that the number and quality of applications for the award have increased sharply, affirming the position and prestige of the award and the clear progress of female students in studying and researching science and technology fields that are often challenging.

The 2025 award highlights the rising role of women in science and technology, reflecting Vietnam’s commitment to fostering young female innovators who will drive future progress through knowledge and creativity.

Vietnam prioritizes innovation, digital transformation and green growth to build a knowledge-based economy and enhance global competitiveness through science and technology.
