United States President Joe Biden lands in Hanoi

United States President Joe Biden's visit to Vietnam holds special significance as it marks a decade of the two nations establishing and implementing the Comprehensive Partnership (2013-2023).

Following the welcoming ceremony held at Noi Bai International Airport, President Joe Biden proceeded to the Presidential Palace to participate in a reception ceremony presided over by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

 The Air Force One touches down at Noi Bai International Airport this afternoon.

As per an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Joe Biden's state visit to Vietnam takes place on September 10-11, upon the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Accompanying President Biden on this visit are high-ranking officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, and Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink.

 President Joe Biden's state visit to Vietnam takes place on September 10-11, upon the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Welcoming the US President and his delegation at the airport were prominent figures such as Le Hoai Trung, Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission; Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of Hanoi People's Council; Nguyen Quoc Dung, Vietnamese Ambassador to the US; Ha Kim Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; along with several officials from the Central Foreign Relations Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Joe Biden's visit to Vietnam holds special significance as it marks a decade of the two nations establishing and implementing the Comprehensive Partnership (2013-2023). This visit continues a tradition of high-level visits to Vietnam by US leaders, including President Bill Clinton in 2000, President George Bush in 2006, President Obama in 2016, and President Donald Trump in 2017, spanning nearly three decades.

The substantial achievements in the bilateral relationship over the past thirty years serve as a strong foundation, reaffirming that President Joe Biden's state visit to Vietnam will be another important milestone in the ongoing journey towards peace, stability, cooperation, and sustainable development in the region and the world for both nations.
