Vietnam is among several nations that the US Secretary of State will visit. He will accompany US President Joe Biden to the United Kingdom and Ireland on April 11-14.

After departing from Vietnam, Antony will travel to Japan to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and discuss with his counterparts charting a path forward on a range of global issues, including nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, food and energy security, and advancing an affirmative vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific.

Antony J. Blinken is the 71st US Secretary of State. He was nominated by President Joe Biden on November 23, 2020, confirmed by the US Senate on January 26, 2021, and sworn in by Vice President Kamala Harris the following day.
