Vietnam and Hanoi leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh

The country's leaders expressed their gratitude for the immense contributions that President Ho Chi Minh have made to the Party's and the nation's glorious revolutionary cause.

THE HANOI TIMES — A high-level delegation representing the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, and Vietnam Fatherland Front laid a wreath and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum on May 19, marking the 135th anniversary of his birth.

The delegation also offered incense at the Martyrs’ Monument on Bac Son Street in remembrance of fallen heroes.

The wreath bore the inscription: "Forever grateful to our great President Ho Chi Minh."

President Ho Chi Minh embodied the shining values of morality, wisdom, courage, and conscience. He was a brilliant leader, a great teacher of the Vietnamese Revolution, a national liberation hero, a world cultural icon, an exemplary international communist, and a close friend to peace-loving and progressive peoples worldwide.

With respect for his spirit, the Party and State leaders pledged to continue following his ideology, ethics, and style, and to strive to fulfill his vision of a strong and prosperous Vietnam where the people enjoy peace, happiness, and well-being.

The Party and State leaders observe a moment of silence in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh.

Following the tribute at the mausoleum, the delegation laid a wreath and offered incense at the Martyrs’ Monument on Bac Son Street. The wreath carried the message: “Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs.”

On the same day, a delegation from the Hanoi Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Fatherland Front, led by Politburo member and Hanoi Party Committee Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai, also laid a wreath and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh.

In honor of his teachings and deep affection for Hanoi, the city’s leaders pledged to uphold solidarity and remain committed to its 2025 working theme: "Discipline, Responsibility, Action, Innovation, and Development."

They reaffirmed their commitment to leading by striving to be at the forefront of the national advancement and building a capital city that is increasingly "civilized, cultured, and modern," worthy of its status as the heart of the nation.

The Hanoi delegation also offered incense and paid their respects at the Martyrs’ Monument on Bac Son Street.
