Under the theme “Viet Nam: We Mean Business!”, Vietnam Business Summit is held on 7th November at Ariyana Convention Centre (ACC).
This is an important international event of APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in Da Nang, Viet Nam. The Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the leaders of Vietnamese ministries and local government will attend and give speeches at the Vietnam Business Summit.
The Summit also opens its doors to the representatives of prominent international organizations, as well as academics and hundreds of business leaders from not only Asia Pacific but also global enterprises. The Summit is an opportunity for foreign investors to find out about the economic development policies, along with the investment and cooperation potentials in Vietnam. For domestic and foreign enterprises, the event is also an occasion to meet, to connect and to share the information regarding the trade and integration trends, as well as the cooperation experience in Vietnam and Asia-Pacific region.
The conference will include: Smart Agriculture; Financial services for development; Health care, Education; Infrastructure, Connectivity; Tourism and Special Economic Zones; SMES, Start-Ups and Innovation.
In parallel with the Summit is the “Viet Nam – We Mean Business” exhibition held to introduce provinces with their typical products and projects for investment calling as well as their diversified economic potential in agro-forestry-fisheries, industry and services. This event also displays outstanding achievements of Vietnamese economy, introduces and promotes traditional products and typical export products of the host country.
According to the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Vietnam Business Summit 2017, which is held during the APEC Economic Leaders ‘Week, with the participation of heads of government agencies, provinces, international organization, and many domestic and international entrepreneurs – will bring about clear, comprehensive vision on the economy and Vietnam favorable development policies; and at the same time open up vast opportunities for successful investment and business linkage in Vietnam – a fast-growing nation with great development potential that is pursuing extensive renovation and open-door policy.
Along with dynamic development of the Asia – Pacific Region, Vietnam is determined to build a growth-enabling Government, whose efficiency is measured by satisfaction of people and success of business. Vietnam carries on with the legacy of Doi Moi (Reform), focus on restructuring the economy, reform legal institutions, develop infrastructure, foster human resources, enhance efficiency and competitiveness, expand domestic demand, promote export, etc. As the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is wide-spreading, the Government encourages entrepreneurs to invest in business development, start-up and innovation. As such, the success of enterprises is at the same time the success of the APEC community, and success of each member economy will contribute to prosperity of the whole region.
On the other hand, the Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc considered the Vietnam Business Summit 2017 to be a valuable business development and network opportunity. The Vietnam Business Forum will focus its discussion on the significant topics, including the turning point of reform, the next emerging market, and integration and business opportunities. Organized by VCCI, the event is guaranteed to bring out the voice of Vietnam’s business community. At the same time, key messages emerging from the Summit will be taken into consideration during the government policy processes. After years of consistent development, Vietnam has experienced dramatic changes and is now a fast growing economy. This is greatly contributed by the effective foreign investment and cooperation.
