Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi launches new app to boost public engagement

The “Digital Front” app on iHanoi offers a modern channel for residents to share feedback, access updates and improve engagement with Front activities.

THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi has officially launched the “Digital Front” application on the iHanoi platform, introducing a modern communication channel that strengthens interaction between the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and the public.

The launch took place today (November 18) as part of the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi.

With “Digital Front”, residents can now submit feedback and petitions, contribute policy recommendations, follow emulation movements and access updated information from all levels of the VFF, easily and intuitively through their smartphones.

The app is designed to be user-friendly, bringing the VFF’s activities closer to everyday civic life.

Integrating the app into the iHanoi platform also expands the city’s smart urban ecosystem, enabling data and service connectivity to enhance interaction among citizens, the VFF and local authorities.

This marks a significant step for Hanoi in building a digital government and improving public service delivery.

Alongside the app launch, the Congress opened the “Solidarity – Creativity” exhibition space, showcasing 95 years of the VFF’s development through large-format panels and eight thematic photo columns.

The exhibition features 192 images highlighting key areas of the VFF’s work, including national unity building, patriotic emulation movements, social supervision and criticism, social welfare, environmental protection, new rural development, urban civility and innovation in public engagement.

The exhibition also highlighted five major socio-political organizations and includes 136 photos capturing activities of 17 member organizations, along with images documenting the participation of central and municipal leaders in key VFF-related events.

The 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi (2025–2030 tenure) gathers 345 official delegates and is a major political event of the capital city, taking place as Hanoi has been operating under the two-tier local government model for four months and consolidated socio-political organizations under new regulations.

The Congress reviewed the previous term’s results, sets goals and action programs for 2025–2030 and elects the 18th Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi and the delegation to the national Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term.
