Vietnam holds rehearsal ahead of National Party Congress

Forces are ready to protect the upcoming 13th National Party Congress that is slated for January 25 and February 2.

More than 6,000 police and army men joined a rehearsal in Hanoi this morning [January 11] to conduct plans to protect the Communist Party of Vietnam’s 13th Congress that is slated for January 25 and February 2.

The rehearsal focuses on martial art performance, dealing with social disorder, rescuing kidnapped victims, and protecting very important persons.

Permanent Member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong and Minister of Public Security To Lam attended the event.

Mr. Vuong said the forces need to raise the sense of responsibility in all cases to ensure absolute safety for the national party congress.

Mr. To Lam, meanwhile, said the police and army will cooperate to launch a number of plans to thwart any plot by hostile forces.

 More than 6,000 police and army men join the rehearsal. 
  The event takes place at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi. 
 Armed forces are requested to raise the sense of responsibility in protecting very important persons.
