Vietnam hosts vibrant ethnic culture activities this July

Through the Culture-Tourism Village's immersive activities, visitors can explore Vietnam’s vibrant ethnic traditions and develop a deeper connection to and pride in the nation’s cultural heritage.

Between now and July 31, over 100 people from 16 ethnic minorities will gather to showcase their unique heritage, including stilt houses, colorful costumes, rhythmic dances, age-old rituals, and handmade crafts.

On weekends, the village features the Khmer people’s Buddhist Rain Retreat Offering Ceremony. Families gather to present large candles and essential items to monks, honoring this serene and meaningful tradition.

Children and families can enjoy traditional Vietnamese games like o an quan (Vietnamese traditional stone game), bamboo puppetry, stilt walking, seesaws, and sack jumping, simple yet joyful activities that build creativity and cultural bonds, while also tasting ethnic cuisine, staying in homestays, and joining interactive cultural activities at the “Common House” celebrating Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups.

Along with entertainment, the program encourages reflection on national identity and the sacrifices of past generations as War Invalids and Martyrs Day approaches (July 27, 1974–July 27, 2025), fostering pride, gratitude, and unity among all generations.
