Dalat, Lan Ha Bay among 18 most underrated places in Asia

The US's CNN Travel has named Dalat and Lan Ha Bay in its list of “18 most underrated places in Asia”. The news channel noted that Dalat, with its fresh mountain air and pine forests in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, is a popular destination for local Vietnamese that isn’t as well known among international travelers. Meanwhile, Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam, the UNESCO-listed waterway, has long been popular with backpackers and luxury travelers. The list also includes destinations in Pakse (Laos), Pulau Ubin (Singapore), Indonesia, Leshan (China), and others.

Various activities marking Vietnam Family Day underway in Hanoi

The Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Dong Mo Tourism Area, Son Tay Town, is hosting a series of activities throughout June to celebrate Vietnam Family Day (June 28). 

The event includes cultural activities and experiences showcasing the traditions and customs of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups and promoting community bonding and family values. Nearly 100 members of 15 ethnic groups from 12 localities participate in the events. 

Nha Trang Sea Festival 2023 to kick off on June 3

The Nha Trang Sea Festival 2023, themed “Khanh Hoa - Aspiration for Development,” will kick off on June 3 in the beach city of Nha Trang, the southern province of Khanh Hoa. 

The four-day festival showcases the fusion of traditional and contemporary culture, which aims to strengthen solidarity and promote tourism at the national and international levels. Festival highlights include the “Khanh Hoa - Connecting Love” art program, the “Echoes of the Ocean” world music festival, and various exciting activities such as fishing competitions, water sports, cultural performances, and scientific conferences. 

Mechanical and electrical devices on display in HCM City

The Ho Chi Minh City Products Week 2023 - Mechanical and Electrical Devices, Digital Technology is taking place until June 7 in HCM City. On display are a range of mechanical products, machines, moulds, supporting industries, electronic equipment, logistics, and warehouse solutions from more than 40 firms.

The event aims to help Vietnamese enterprises introduce their high-quality products and popularize the export capacity of the mechanical-electrical industry to domestic and international partners.

Vietnam-China sign MOUs promoting trade-investment cooperation

Delegates attending a conference promoting trade and investment linkage between Vietnam and China’s Shandong Province witnessed a signing ceremony of seven memoranda of understanding (MOUs) on June 1.

The event attracted more than 200 Vietnamese and Chinese firms operating in agriculture-food, machinery equipment, rubber tires-auto parts, and construction-building materials, and industrial others.
