On April 30, a five-ton rotten whale body was found on the beach of Hai Trieu Commune, Hai Hau District, in the northern province of Nam Dinh.

The index slipped to 46.7 in April from 47.7 in March, indicating a contraction in business activity.

According to S&P Global, factory output and new orders fell faster for the second month in a row, leading to a decline in input purchasing activity and staffing levels. However, companies remain optimistic about the near future, with signs of easing cost inflation and soft material price increases.
