Vietnam Youth Federation holds 9th Congress in Hanoi

The 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation (2024-2029) is underway in Hanoi from December 16-18, 2024, with 980 delegates representing over 21 million youth nationwide. China is Vietnam's leading fruit export market in Jan - Nov
The General Department of Customs reported that China imported US$4.35 billion worth of fruits and vegetables from Vietnam from January to November, up 27.4% year-on-year. Vietnam's total fruit and vegetable exports in the period reached an estimated US$6.6 billion, up 27.1% year-on-year. The Ministry of Agriculture is targeting fruit and vegetable exports of US$6 billion to US$6.5 billion in 2024.

Book Week highlights military achievements and cultural pride

Ho Chi Minh City is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defence Day with a Book Week until December 22. Domestically manufactured transformer boosts energy security

Vietnam sends 143,160 workers overseas from January to November

Vietnam sent 143,160 workers abroad from January to November, reaching 114% of the annual plan, according to the Department of Overseas Labor. Japan has emerged as the largest market with nearly 69,200 workers, accounting for nearly half of the total, followed by Taiwan (China) with nearly 53,300 workers and South Korea with nearly 11,300 workers.
