Vietnamese coffee and basa fillets introduced to Algerian consumers

The Vietnam Trade Office in Algeria, in cooperation with the Carrefour supermarket chain in Algeria, has introduced Vietnam's strong products, including coffee and basa fillets, to Algerian consumers at the Carrefour hypermarket in the City Center Mall in the capital Algiers. These products are considered to have great consumption potential in this market.

Revenue from FPT's information technology services in foreign markets reached the $1 billion mark, doubling in three years. The majority of this revenue came from three markets: Japan, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region, all of which grew by over 30% this year, with the Japanese market expanding by 54% due to digital transformation spending.

Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2023 honors 15 outstanding products

The Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2023, held on December 22, honored outstanding individuals and organizations that have made positive contributions to the development of valuable digital content for the community. Nearly three months after the call for entries opened, organizers received 256 submissions and shortlisted 15 authors with outstanding works for awards in seven categories.

Hanoi pilots digital transformation models in selected agencies

The Hanoi People's Committee issued Plan No. 310 on the pilot implementation of digital transformation models in government agencies in the city, including the Department of Transportation, Hanoi Tax Department, Economic & Urban Newspaper, and district and city People's Committees: Hoan Kiem, Long Bien, My Duc, Chuong My, Ba Vi, Ung Hoa, Me Linh, Dan Phuong, Thanh Oai and Phu Xuyen.

The central province of Binh Dinh will seek investment in 100 new projects in 2024, Director of Binh Dinh Department of Planning and Investment Le Hoang Nghi said on December 23 at a ceremony to announce the Binh Dinh Provincial Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Among them, 30 investment projects in economic zones and industrial parks with a minimum registered capital of VND100 billion ($4.12 million) per project, and 70 other investment projects in localities and industrial clusters with a minimum registered capital of VND20 billion ($824,742) per project.

Over 5 million Vietnamese travel abroad in 2023

According to the Vietnam Tourism Association, more than five million Vietnamese people traveled abroad in 2023. Of these, over 800,000 visited Thailand, while South Korea and Taiwan (China) received over 420,000 and 350,000 Vietnamese visitors, respectively, according to the countries' tourism agencies. In 2023, Vietnam's tourism is estimated to serve about 105 million domestic visitors and welcome about 12.5-13 million international arrivals.

Exhibition of handicraft products opens in Ung Hoa District

The Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, in cooperation with the Ung Hoa District People's Committee, opened an exhibition of One Commune One Product (OCOP) goods, handicraft and artisanal villages on December 22 at the Trach Xa Village Relic Site, Hoa Lam Commune, Ung Hoa District, Hanoi. The event will run until December 24. Covering an area of about 2,000 square meters, the exhibition included areas for new products, creative designs and handicraft villages and booths for businesses, rural industrial enterprises, silk and embroidery artisans in Ung Hoa District.
